People everywhere celebrate the coming Lunar New Year in a joyous atmosphere.
As Spring Festival approaches, many people have hung lanterns to welcome the coming Year of the Rabbit. The word echoing rabbit in the Chinese lunar calendar, called Mao, symbolizes spring and dawn in traditional Chinese culture, while the animal itself has long been mankind's friend. In many ancient legends, the rabbit has always appeared as a hero or a friend.
